Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully. They are a legal agreement between you and DGames8 Mobile, the developer and publisher of RAN Pinas ("DGames8 Mobile", "RAN Pinas", "we", "us", "our"), governing your use of our website, game client, mobile and desktop applications, top-up portals, Discord and community spaces, and related services (the "Services"). By creating an account, downloading the client, or using the Services you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you may use the Services only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for your activity and any purchases. You may not use the Services if you have previously been banned from them.

2. Your account

• You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for all activity on your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.
• Accounts are personal. You may not sell, trade, gift, rent, or share your account or let anyone else use it.
• You may delete your account at any time — see Account Deletion.

3. License to use the Services

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the game client and applications on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, create derivative works from, distribute, or commercially exploit any part of the Services except as expressly permitted by law or by us in writing.

If you obtained an app through the Apple App Store, this license is limited to use on Apple-branded devices that you own or control and as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

4. Virtual items and credits

• The Services may include virtual currency ("Credits", "Points", or similar) and virtual items (characters, equipment, cosmetics, consumables) ("Virtual Items").
• Virtual Items are licensed, not sold. You receive a limited, revocable license to use them within the Services. You do not own Virtual Items, and they have no real-world monetary value.
• Virtual Items may not be sold, traded, or transferred for real money or anything of value outside the game, except through features we expressly provide. "Real-money trading" is prohibited.
• We may modify, rebalance, restrict, or remove Virtual Items at any time as part of operating the game, without liability to you.
• Virtual Items are tied to the server on which they were obtained and are not transferable between servers unless we provide a feature for that.

5. Purchases and payments

• Credits can be purchased through our official top-up portals (strife.ranpinas.com, havoc.ranpinas.com, fury.ranpinas.com) or, where available, through in-app purchase on an app store. Prices are shown before you confirm a purchase and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
• Purchases made through an app store (Apple App Store, Google Play) are subject to that store's payment terms and refund policies. Purchases made through our top-up portals are subject to our Refund Policy.
• All purchases are final once Credits are delivered, except where required by law or as set out in our Refund Policy.
• You are responsible for any charges on your payment method. If you are a minor, you must have the payment method owner's permission.
• Chargebacks or payment reversals made without first contacting support may result in suspension of the account until the matter is resolved.

6. Rules of conduct

You agree not to:

• Use cheats, hacks, bots, macros, exploits, modified clients, memory editors, packet editors, or any unauthorised third-party software that interacts with the Services.
• Exploit bugs or glitches for advantage instead of reporting them.
• Buy, sell, or advertise accounts, Virtual Items, or Credits for real-world money or value outside the game.
• Harass, threaten, bully, defame, or discriminate against other players or staff; post hateful, sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise objectionable content.
• Impersonate RAN Pinas staff or other players, or misrepresent your identity.
• Scam, phish, or attempt to obtain other players' account details or personal information.
• Spam, advertise unrelated services, or promote other games or services within the Services.
• Disrupt, overload, attack, or interfere with the Services, servers, or networks.
• Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.

7. User content

You keep ownership of content you create (character names, guild names, chat, screenshots, videos) ("User Content"). By submitting User Content to the Services you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, display, and distribute it in connection with operating and promoting the Services. You are responsible for your User Content and must have the rights to share it. We may remove any User Content that violates these Terms.

Objectionable content and abuse: We do not tolerate abusive behaviour or objectionable content. You can report content or players in-game, via Discord, or by emailing [email protected]. We review reports and will act on them — including removing content and ejecting the offending user — within 24 hours where the content is clearly objectionable. You may also block other players using in-game features where available.

8. Enforcement and termination

We may warn, mute, suspend, roll back, or permanently ban accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion and with or without notice, depending on the severity. Banned accounts forfeit all Virtual Items and Credits without refund. We may also terminate or suspend the Services, or your access to them, if required by law, for security reasons, or if we discontinue the game. You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time.

If you believe an enforcement action was made in error, you may appeal by emailing [email protected] within 14 days of the action.

9. Intellectual property

The Services — including the website, client software, artwork, logos, text, audio, and the RAN Pinas name — are owned by DGames8 Mobile or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. RAN Pinas and the RAN Pinas logo are trademarks of DGames8 Mobile. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership to you.

If you believe content in the Services infringes your copyright, send a notice to [email protected] with the subject "Copyright", identifying the work, the infringing material, and your contact details.

10. Third-party services and app stores

The Services link to third-party platforms (Discord, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Linktree, payment providers). We are not responsible for those services or their content, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.

Apple App Store. If you downloaded an app from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that: (a) these Terms are between you and DGames8 Mobile only, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its content; (b) Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app; (c) in the event of any failure of the app to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any, and to the maximum extent permitted by law Apple has no other warranty obligation; (d) Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, or consumer protection claims; (e) Apple is not responsible for third-party intellectual property claims relating to the app; (f) you represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated a "terrorist supporting" country, and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties; and (g) Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

Google Play. If you downloaded an app from Google Play, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at any particular time, or that Virtual Items or progress will be preserved. The game may be rebalanced, reset, or discontinued.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DGAMES8 MOBILE, RAN PINAS, AND THEIR OPERATORS, STAFF, AND PARTNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, GOODWILL, OR VIRTUAL ITEMS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 6 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE OR (B) PHP 2,500. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you; nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DGames8 Mobile, RAN Pinas, and their operators, staff, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Services, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at [email protected] and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the competent courts of the Philippines, except that you may bring claims in your local courts where consumer-protection law gives you that right. Nothing in these Terms deprives you of mandatory consumer protections under the law of the country where you live.

15. Changes to the Services or Terms

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time. We may also update these Terms. If we make material changes we will give at least 7 days' notice by posting on the website, in the client, or by email. Continued use of the Services after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Services and delete your account.

16. General

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor operator of the Services. Section headings are for convenience only.
